Wisconsin Sleep The Wisconsin Sleep™ clinic is operated by the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, Inc., and features faculty physicians of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The clinic offers an interdisciplinary team of physicians from the departments of geriatrics, internal medicine, neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry and pulmonary medicine – as well as other non-physician providers – who bring together a range of professional backgrounds to address the many causes of sleep complaints.

If you’re having sleep problems, talk to your physician – he or she may refer you for an appointment at the Wisconsin Sleep clinic to talk with a sleep specialist about:

  • The amount of sleep you get in a day
  • Your ability to fall asleep or stay asleep
  • Your ability to stay awake when you want to
  • The effect of medications on healthy sleep
  • The impact of stress or life issues on your sleep
  • The special sleep needs of children or older adults

Based on your consultation, your Wisconsin Sleep physician might recommend some changes to your sleep schedule, medications, or behavioral treatments to help improve your sleep. If appropriate, you might be referred to the Wisconsin Sleep, Inc. Laboratory for an overnight or daytime sleep study to get a better idea of what may be causing your sleep problems.
